Essay competition and virtual event

The 2020 Senior Scholarship Showcase is a virtual event with a challenge — high school seniors with a 3.7+ GPA are invited to register and have the chance to compete in a writing competition with a chance to win a CSU scholarship award. The essay topic will be sent to registered students on Monday, August 24, and essay submissions will be accepted through September 1.

One-year scholarships ranging from $1,000 – $3,000 will be awarded to students selected from the writing competition. Winners will be announced during a main event webinar, which includes an informational presentation and announcement of winners, on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (Mountain time).

The event also includes optional virtual breakout session webinars and mock lectures led by CSU faculty and staff during the week of September 8-11. View a list of select breakout session recordings below.
